I’m Lisanne, founder of Growth Gear and WonderTeam, and I am a ‘Founder Whisperer’.
Let me take you back to 2013 when I was running a company with about 12 employees for the first time.
I was a tech-girl, skilled in building business processes and automation. I was a leader at heart, but I had no idea what I was doing. Most importantly, I had no idea how to run a company. I was willing to learn, but let’s be honest, most advice sucks. Why? Because it’s dished out by people who have never actually built a company before.
My husband and I were working day and night. There were many times I wasn’t showing up the way I intended and my team suffered. We soon realized that this wasn’t sustainable at all. We were stuck INSIDE the business instead of working ON. We were the bottleneck of the business and the reason we couldn’t scale it.
Our biggest mistakes?
I had to find out that it was my MAIN responsibility as a founder to ensure that the team has enough clarity to be able to perform well.
If you don’t lead your company you set yourself up for frustration, resentment and workdays filled with ‘people problems’.
