I founded a school paper at the age of 9 and ran it until I was 15. I started it in primary school and continued it in secondary school. Some of my friends were going to different schools after primary school, ensuring it became a magazine for both schools in two separate locations I wanted to connect.

My first website launched in 1997 when I was 17. By that time i didn't know what to write about so i starte www.kinderstartpagina.nl as a collection of weblinks and I started building websites for others (while nobody was really asking for them yet).

At the age of 20 I started an event company as a side hustle during my studies, where I earned my first money with low costs and high margins.
I thought I had to pay a lot of taxes and thought it was smart to make more expenses, so I started a webshop, only to find out later that inventory goes on the balance sheet and is not considered a cost.I liked traveling to buy new stock, so I continued anyway and with the money I made from the hostess company I started several online trading businesses .Back then, the internet was still emerging in the Netherlands and there were no dutch webshops around. People around me doubted if anyone would buy anything from me and transfer money online. I built the website myself and hosted it on a local server in my room. I sold personalized t-shirts, car stickers, and hobby craft items that I imported personally from Korea, China, and the USA.

At the age of 24, my boyfriend (now husband) asked me to help him systemize his company. It was my first digital transformation, and I loved it. I started helping other companies to do the same. From the age of 28, I ran my husband’s company until the end of 2022.

I’ve always loved starting online businesses. Nobody told me about selling them 🙂 so thats why I added that now in my services. What I also discovered is my love for (re)shaping organizations into successful living organisms, with empowered people and creative mindset. This is why I began posting on LinkedIn. My current interest is mastering AI, I wish it had existed when I was in my 20s. I am utilising it now, that’s fot sure and I will inspire you too!
